Additional sessions scheduled for performance assessment and management training

If your schedule has not permitted you to attend one of the performance assessment and management training sessions offered by the Human Resources Department, it is not too late to do so. Two additional sessions are scheduled.

The dates and locations for these sessions are:

  • 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Room 301, Terrence Murphy Hall
  • 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Room 303, O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center

Supervisors and managers are encouraged to attend. The session provides an overview of the new performance-management system, with emphasis on issues that are important to supervisors and managers. Participants will be given an overview of the new forms, proper appraisal techniques, timelines and specifics on the pay-for-performance program.

The university’s new performance-management system is one way to recognize its employees as they grow and excel in their daily work. The Performance Assessment Policy is designed to foster relationship-building and problem-solving, and serve as a reference for setting and checking on the fulfillment of goals and how they fit in with and further St. Thomas’ mission.
