Konstantin Volostnov
Organ Recital Series featuring Konstantin Volostnov
8:15 p.m. Monday, March 7, Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas
Prize-winning Russian star Konstantin Volostnov will perform works of Bach, Du Mage, Mozart, Franck, Vierne, and the Fantasia Op. 110 by Alexander Glazunov. The chapel is home to the three-manual, 41-stop Gabriel Kney organ. A reception follows the recital. Information: (651) 962-5793. St. Thomas Symphonic Band Concert and St. Agnes School Bands
7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, Brady Educational Center Auditorium
The University of St. Thomas Symphonic Concert Band will share the concert with the junior high and senior high bands from the St. Agnes School. The bands from the St. Agnes School are directed by St. Thomas alumna Caroline Becker. The highlight of the concert will be a selection performed by the combined bands. That selection will be conducted by St. Thomas student Andy Wolf.
St. Thomas Chamber Singers
Chamber Singers Send-Off Concert

The St. Thomas Chamber Singers will present a 30-minute selection of music they will perform at a national conference of choir directors which will be held in Chicago later that week.
Guest Recital: Maurice Clement, organ, and Marc Weydert, trumpet
8:15 p.m. Friday, March 11, Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas
Clement and Weydert will present “The Sounds of Luxembourg.” Both musicians are from Luxembourg; the concert is sponsored by the Luxembourg American Cultural Society in collaboration with Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture. A reception will follow.
“Light From the Yellow Star: Art Faith Humanity”
8 p.m. Monday, March 14, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
The University of St. Thomas Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present “Light From the Yellow Star: Art Faith Humanity,” featuring the world premiere performance of a St. Thomas-commissioned work by Boris Pigovat. Also featured will be the St. Paul City Ballet. Dr. Robert Fisch will provide art and commentary. General admission is $6; admission is free for St. Thomas students (with ID). This event is part of interfaith art pARTners, a Twin Cities festival.
