David Keil, vice president of business development at Ecolab, will speak at the Association for Strategic Planning Fall Breakfast Series on Tuesday, Dec. 14. His topic is “Strategy for an Evolving Global Marketplace.”
Registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast and networking. The presentation and discussion will be held from 7:45 to 9 a.m. in Room 202, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus.
Keil will describe the strategy process and show a case study of how Ecolab is using it in the emerging water space. This case study will show how they are leveraging their competencies in an emerging space, and evolving a regional business into a global one.
In his current role, Keil is responsible for strategy development, as well as mergers and acquisitions activity for the Institutional North American Sector. Institutional is Ecolab’s largest business unit, serving the food service and hospitality markets. His previous Ecolab roles included vice president and segment manager for Healthcare North America and vice president of corporate development.
Prior to joining Ecolab as corporate development vice president in 2004, Keil was employed at General Mills as president of The Häagen-Dazs Shoppe Co. Inc. and director of corporate development. He also has worked for Pillsbury and Frito-Lay Inc. in a variety of operations, sales and finance roles.
