At 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, while the Tommies are warming up to take on Coe College in an NCAA Division III playoff game, football fans can warm up with Tommie Chili Fest in the lower quad.
Chili, desserts and beverages will be available beginning at 10:30 a.m. for $5 per person. The entire campus community is invited to take part. In the event of poor weather the event will move to The Grill in Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
Kick-off time for Saturday's game is noon at Palmer Field in O'Shaughnessy Stadium. No. 10-ranked St. Thomas (10-1) will play host to No. 25-ranked Coe (10-1). It's the fifth postseason football game in St. Thomas history.
Coe, the Iowa Conference runner-up, scored a 34-27 upset of No. 4 St. John's University Saturday, while the Tommies downed No. 8-ranked Monmouth, 43-21.
