Community-based research grants Q & A set for March 25

Students interested in applying for a summer 2010 Community-Based Research Grant are invited to attend a question-and-answer session at noon Thursday, March 25. The session will be held in the CILCE (Center for Intercultural Learning and Community Engagement) office, Room 153, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

The event will feature UST student Randy Hade, who completed a grant-funded community-based research project last summer. He will be available to answer questions about his experience and offer insight into the application process.

Also available to answer questions will be Dr. Kevin Sauter, faculty director for service-learning, and David Steele, director of the Undergraduate Research and Collaborative Scholarship Program.

Community-Based Research Grants are offered through the University of St. Thomas Grants and Research Office. Recipients will be provided a $4,000 stipend and free on-campus housing for the summer while completing a research project in conjunction with a community partner. Undergraduate students from all disciplines are invited to apply.
