Enjoy Lunch at Luann's every Wednesday

Faculty, staff and students are invited to partake of a new tradition begun last fall – Lunch at Luann's – a brown-bag gathering from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesdays in the Luann Dummer Center for Women.

Although the gatherings begin at noon, participants don't have to be on time; just show up with or without lunch in Room 103, O'Shaughnessy Educational Center.

Initially last fall the group discussed national politics; however, the gatherings are not limited to politics and are viewed as informal events open to all to fulfill the vision of the women's center's benefactor, Dr. Luann Dummer, that it would be a space where people could gather for conversation, strategizing and mutual support.

Once a month the group will be called Lunch and a Book at Luann's, when participants will discuss a book related to women. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the group will discuss The Terror Dream, a book by Susan Faludi, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author.
