Center for Irish Studies Launches Collection of Essays at O'Gara's June 25

“Extended Family: Essays on Being Irish-American From New Hibernia Review” has been published by Dafour Editions. Editor Jim Rogers and essayist Brian Nerney will help launch the collection at 7:30 p.m. June 25 at O’Gara’s, 164 N. Snelling Av., St. Paul.

The anthology includes 11 personal essays, three annotated articles and one long poem, all of which were originally published in New Hibernia Review, a quarterly journal published by the University of St. Thomas’ Center for Irish Studies. Rogers is editor of the review and director of the center. Nerney teaches at Metro State.

The reception is free and open to the public and will be emceed by 2 Gingers Whiskey and Kieran's Irish Pub founder Kieran Folliard.
