Faculty workshops on 'Preparing Scholarly Book Proposals' start Feb. 21

Dr. Stephen Brookfield, UST Distinguished University Professor, will lead faculty development workshops on "Preparing Scholarly Book Proposals" in February and March at the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. The workshop will be offered twice on each campus.

The registration deadline for any of these courses is one week prior to the workshop. To register, e-mail Pat Alexander with your name, department and the date you wish to attend.

Brookfield will talk about the process of approaching publishers and writing a preliminary proposal. He will bring examples of some of his successful book proposals to distribute to participants and outline the chief steps in preparing a proposal. Faculty members are encouraged to bring ideas or specific questions to discuss with Brookfield.
