'Federal Reserve, Future of the Economy' topic of Master's Pub Friday

Tobias Madden, regional economist in the Public Affairs Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will speak at the Master's Pub: Business Conversations series Friday, Nov. 21.

His topic is "The Federal Reserve and the Future of the Economy."

Graduate business students are invited to this session from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 201, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus. Light food and beverages will be available.

Madden speaks frequently on the district economy and is actively involved with the bank's economic education program. He joined the Minneapolis Fed in 1995 as a management analyst.

Previous positions included investments and management reporting with TCF Financial Corp. and as a senior consultant with the Ernst and Young financial services industry group. Madden is a certified public accountant, a certified management accountant and is working toward a doctorate degree in applied economics. He is past president of the Minnesota Economic Association and is on the board of the Institute for Financial Economics.
