Diaper Donations Sought to 'Fill the Crib' in Annual Campaign

The annual “Fill the Crib” diaper campaign for St. Joseph’s Home for Children is under way.

The University of St. Thomas Child Development Center, in conjunction with April National Child Abuse Prevention Month and the National Week of the Young Child (August 12-16), is reaching out to the children in crisis served by St. Joseph’s Home for Children.

The home provides basic needs and emergency shelter for children in need due to neglect or abuse and waiting for long-term housing to be arranged. The Child Development Center is accepting donations of new disposable diapers (all sizes) and diaper wipes. Cribs designated for donations will be located at The Grill, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, and the Child Development Center, located at Grand and Finn avenues, both on the St. Paul campus.

Donations will be accepted Monday, April 12, through Thursday, April 15.

"Thank you for your support of this very worthy cause and the children and families it serves," remarked Joanne Boyer, assistant director of the Child Development Center.
