On Tuesday, Dec. 14, the UST Financial Aid Office held its fourth annual bake sale to benefit the Merriam Park Food Shelf. This year, the financial aid team made an abundance of delicious treats and handmade jewelry and cards.
Thanks to the generosity of the St. Thomas community, the Financial Aid Bake Sale raised $1,100! When combined with the purchasing power of the Merriam Park Food Shelf, these funds will buy more than $7,000 in food for needy families in our neighborhood.
This was the largest bake sale in the history of the Financial Aid Bake Sale with an increase over last year of more than $350. Watch for next year’s bake sale to be advertised and join in the effort to support our local food shelf.
