First-year Students: Explore Your Opportunities for Studying Abroad

Venturing off to college is full of new experiences, challenges and excitement – it's life-changing. Now that you are on campus, you can take full advantage of St. Thomas’ nationally ranked Study Abroad program.

St. Thomas' International Education Center is located at 44 N. Cleveland Ave., St. Paul campus.

Studying off campus allows you to see the world through a different lens and develop intercultural skills that are essential in today’s global workplace.

You can study international business in China, conduct biology research on Turks and Caicos islands in the Caribbean, or walk where Julius Caesar walked in Rome. And it’s as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Visit the Study Abroad website.
  2. Look into programs for first-year students, including Theology 101 in Rome over J-Term 2013.
  3. Attend a First-Step Session this fall in Study Abroad to learn more about semester and yearlong programs.

First-year students can study off campus during J-Term. Sophomore standing is required for future summer, semester and yearlong programs.
