Feeling lonely, stressed, want better relationships, or need help accepting yourself? Counseling and Psychological Services is offering four groups this spring for students who wish to gain support, learn new coping strategies and connect with others about their concerns. (The Relationships Group is composed of two groups meeting on different days.)
All groups are free and confidential, and will meet in the CPS group room, Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
Creating Positive Body Image Group
This is a group for women who are interested in improving their body image through talking with others, creative activity and personal reflection. The goal of the group is to help students accept their bodies and, in turn, themselves. The group meets on Thursdays, starting Feb. 17, during the convocation hour from 11:45 to 1 p.m. E-mail Deb Broderick or Jocelyn Lebow for more information, or call (651) 962-6780.
How do you relate to the people in your life? Ever wonder how others see you? Get feedback and ideas for addressing these questions and enhance personal relationships, increase self-awareness and strengthen communication skills.
This group will be offered at two different times this semester:
- Noon-1:15 p.m.Tuesdays starting Feb. 8. For more information, e-mail facilitators Sydney Felker or Andy Katz.
- 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting Feb. 9. For more information, e-mail facilitators Felker or Steve Maurer.
