Gateway Bank top execs to speak on partnership as entrepreneurs on Feb. 17
The College of Business welcomes speakers John Schreier and Bruce Downey, co-founders of Minnesota’s Gateway Bank, who will discuss aspects of partnership as entrepreneurs.
This event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in Room 127 of Schulze Hall on UST's Minneapolis campus.
Here is the evening’s schedule:
- 4:30-5 p.m. – Eat and greet
- 5-5:30 p.m. – Speaker presentation
- 5:30-5:45 p.m. – Question-and-answer session
- 5:45-6:30 p.m. – Social hour

Gateway CEO Schreier earned his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota. He has extensive banking experience with more than 17 years at community banks in the Twin Cities area.
Gateway President Downey also is a lifelong Minnesotan. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where he received his undergraduate degree and an M.B.A. with a finance concentration. He has 19 years of experience in the banking industry.

This event also is part of the College of Business lecture series.
