Help Needed to Transport School Supplies to New Delhi, India

In January 2012 I traveled to India with some UST students on a VISION trip to serve with a nonprofit (NGO) involved with teaching English and computer skills. You can see more about this amazing organization on the iSPiiCE (Integrated Social Programs in Indian Child Education) website. This trip was life-changing for me – everyone should strive to participate in a VISION trip!

We returned, collected supplies and want to send them; however, shipping directly to the NGO in northern India is prohibitively expensive and items often are stolen from the mail. The executive director of the NGO could get our supplies from New Delhi where he travels regularly by train to meet new volunteers.

We need help. I can ship the items anywhere in the United States to a volunteer who is traveling to New Delhi. The individual is welcome to open and review the contents. I also am willing to pay the extra baggage fare if the volunteer will take the school supplies with them on their flight.

Please spread the word; I am certain I am just a contact or two away from finding someone who is traveling to New Delhi and who would be willing to help us.

If you are planning a trip to New Delhi or know of someone who is going, email bagorski@stthomas.edu.
