'Still Brave? Black Feminism and Social Justice' Lecture to be Given Thursday

Dr. Patricia Hill Collins, a distinguished university professor of sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park, will present a lecture, “Still Brave? Black Feminism and Social Justice,” on Thursday, April 7.

The lecture, free and open to the public, will be given at 7 p.m. in the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.

In addition to being a distinguished university professor, Collins is the Charles Phelps Taft Emeritus Professor of Sociology within the Department of African American Studies at the University of Cincinnati.

This event is co-sponsored by the Luann Dummer Center for Women, the Office of the President/Diversity, College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of American Culture and Difference.
