Hunger Banquet Accepts Reservations Through Nov. 23

Do hunger and poverty seem otherwordly, foreign or just something that doesn't happen here? Is it hard to interpret all the facts and figures surrounding hunger issues? After all, it is hard to fathom the thousands of children who die everyday from hunger-related illnesses, let alone the millions who go hungry daily.

If you want a new way of viewing hunger or maybe you just want someone to share a meal with, join Students for Justice and Peace and the Social Work Club for a Hunger Banquet. The Hunger Banquet will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, in the Koch Commons Fireside Room.

“If you don't leave full you'll at least leave with a new perspective on hunger and poverty,” remarked Emily Kindelspire of Students for Justice and Peace. “We guarantee it.”
