Four win Outstanding Student Award in Modern and Classical Languages

Four students have been named winners of the 2011 Shelly A. Moorman Outstanding Student Award in Modern and Classical Languages:

  • Michael Panka, Classical Languages and Latin
  • Anita O’Neill, French
  • Meran Kreibich, German
  • Adam Wozniak, Spanish

This award, sponsored by the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, is named in honor of Shelly Moorman, who taught Spanish at St. Thomas from 1968 until her retirement in 2004. In addition to chairing the MCL department, she also served as associate dean of students when St. Thomas went coeducational.

The award has been presented since 2004.
