Law professor to speak at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration

Nekima Levy-Pounds, associate professor of law at the University of St. Thomas, will give the keynote address at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration on Monday, Jan. 18, at Concordia University in St. Paul.

She will speak during the event's main program, which will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is themed "The Fierce Urgency of Now – Make That Change."

According to the Concordia College Web site, "The program includes a historical Power Point exhibit, music, dance, spoken-word and poetry performances, as well as awards and various elected officials speaking on the legacy of King and the hope of Obama."
