Here are two items of note for the Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library:
- New interface for ATLA Religion Database
This July, our version of the ATLA Religion Database changed access interfaces, this time to the EBSCO platform (just like Catholic Periodical Literature Index, New Testament Abstracts and Old Testament Abstracts). ATLA still contains the identical data, it just has a different search and display appearance. - “Research Methods” workshop
A study skills workshop titled “Research Methods” (required for Theo 1 students, open to all graduate theology and Catholic studies students) will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, in Room 5, Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library.
Database of the week: Business Plan Handbooks
UST Libraries has added many new online databases to its collection over the summer and we will highlight them over the next several weeks in the Bulletin Today. This week’s featured database is Business Plan Handbooks.
The print version of Business Plan Handbooks is a multi-volume collection of actual business plans for small businesses in many industries that long has been a staple of the UST Libraries reference collection. Now the electronic version of this unique product is available on the Web to be accessed and searched from campus or remote locations.
This product includes a sample business plan template, fictional plans, a glossary of small business terms, and a directory section containing various listings of interest to entrepreneurs and consultants specializing in small business advice and planning. It is an invaluable resource for business students, especially marketing and entrepreneurship students, to study how business plans are written.
