Everyone is invited to attend the 14th annual Poetry on the Patio reading on Tuesday, April 24. It will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on the terrace of the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library. If the weather is too cold or rainy the event will be moved inside to the O’Shaughnessy Room (108).
Audience and readers alike will be welcomed by library director Dan Gjelten. This year’s program includes:
- Matt Batt
- Miriam Gerber
- Susan Anderson-Benson
- Conie Borchardt
- Bernie Brady
- Carol Bruess
- Michael Cogan
- Karina Poyerd
- Ted Ulrich
- Olga Herrera
- Amy Levad
- Matt Sullivan
- Father Erich Rutten
Consider taking a lunch break on the library patio and enjoy a variety of poems read by colleagues, teachers and friends. As a way to highlight National Poetry Month, members from across the St. Thomas community – faculty, staff, administrators, students and alumni – are invited each year to read a poem or two by their favorite authors. The only restriction is that the poem cannot be one that they have written themselves.
Bring a lunch; library staff will provide a beverage and light dessert. For more information contact Julie Kimlinger, (651) 962-5014.

Seniors: Please complete library survey!
Calling all seniors: As spring term starts to wind down, do your friends in the library one last favor. A survey of graduating seniors is being conducted to learn about students’ library research skills. Learning about library users helps staff adapt and improve library services.
The survey should take only 10 to 15 minutes, and students can submit their name for a drawing for a $50 Bookstore gift certificate. The survey already has been submitted to seniors via email, so students should check their UST email accounts for a personalized link to the survey if they haven’t already taken it. Thanks in advance for your help.
