Database of the week

The UST libraries continue to add new electronic resources, and we will highlight them along with some "classic" databases over the next several weeks in the Bulletin Today. This week's featured database is Ethnic Newswatch.

Ethnic Newswatch is a full-text interdisciplinary database of 264 newspapers, magazines and journals from ethnic, minority and native press sources. This bilingual (English and Spanish) collection of articles and editorials provides additional perspectives on local, national and international news and current events that is offered by mainstream press outlets.

A majority of the publications in Ethnic Newswatch are unique and not available in other electronic resources. Users can find articles in this database by searching with keywords or choose to browse articles by topic, subject headings or individual publication titles. This resource is suited for students conducting research in a variety of social science disciplines, including political science, history, business and sociology.
