McNeely Hall utility connection on Grand Avenue to begin May 15

Opus Construction will facilitate utility work on Grand Avenue, weather permitting, beginning Monday, May 15. In order to connect the city’s sanitary sewer to McNeely Hall, Grand Avenue will be closed, except for local traffic, to westbound drivers at Cleveland Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be diverted at Cretin. Through traffic will be detoured to Summit Avenue.
The sewer connection will occur just west of Cleveland at the project construction entrance. Parking will not be affected, except for the immediate area around the digging on the north side of Grand. Opus hopes to have the project completed by May 19.
