Snow is on the way, and Off-Campus Student Services wants to make sure students are aware of the many resources available during nasty winter weather.
On Thursday, Dec. 1, OCSS staff will hand out ice scrapers, hot chocolate and information on snow emergencies, parking and winter safety.
In the morning staff will be in the commuter parking lots. In the afternoon, look for them on the corner of Ashland and Cretin avenues.
To find out when snow emergencies are declared and for parking information, check out the following:
St. Paul: 651-266-PLOW or on the Web.
Minneapolis: 612-348-SNOW or on the Web.
St. Paul and Minneapolis both provide email and cell phone notification services.
For more information about the University of St. Thomas’ Snow Emergency guidelines, see the Bulletin article from earlier this month. St. Thomas may or may not allow parking in some lots during a snow emergency. Public Safety will announce this via students’ university email accounts.
For more information, contact OCSS at 651-962-6138 or on the Web.
