Office of Service-Learning offers workshop in collaboration with Open Arms of Minnesota
The Office of Service-Learning is offering a service-learning workshop May 21-24 in collaboration with Open Arms of Minnesota.
The workshop, from 1 to 4 p.m. each day, is for all St. Thomas faculty who are interested in developing a service-learning component partnering with Open Arms of Minnesota in a new or existing course.
Open Arms of Minnesota prepares meals for and delivers meals to people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses in the Twin Cities.
Open Arms welcomes involvement with every discipline. Faculty are invited to explore whether it is a partnership that will better enable students to learn the content of their courses.
This workshop is made possible, in part, by a grant from Minnesota Campus Compact. Stipends for attendance and course development will be available for all workshop participants.
To register your interest in attending, e-mail Kimberly Vrudny, interim faculty coordinator of service learning.
