“The Sounds of Luxembourg,” a concert featuring Maurice Clement on the organ and Marc Weydert on the trumpet, will be held at 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 11, in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, located on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas.
The concert is free and will be followed by a reception honoring the musicians. It is sponsored by the Luxembourg American Cultural Society in collaboration with Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture.
Both musicians are from Luxembourg. For the past 15 years, Weydert has been a member of the symphonic concert band Philharmonie Grand-ducale et Municipale Ettelbruck. He also works for the Luxembourg Mission to the United Nations. Clement is the resident organist at the Philharmonie Luxembourg and teaches organ and improvisation in the Conservatoire du Nord in Luxembourg.
