SIFE and the Green Team are helping to save the environment one plastic grocery bag at a time. As part of the ongoing Recyclemania competition, SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and the Green Team invite students, faculty and staff to drop off plastic grocery bags for recycling.
Collection bins will be labeled and placed on the first floor of Aquinas Hall and in Koch Commons all week.
St. Thomas does not recycle plastic grocery bags, but SIFE and the Green Team will collect and recycle them for the St. Thomas community – an excellent opportunity to take bags that never will be used off those kitchen shelves.
Bags will be collected from the bins and brought to a local grocery store on Friday, March 30.
