Play, buffet and dance are featured in 'Saudi and American Night' program here Friday

University of St. Thomas students, staff and faculty are welcome to a "Saudi and American Night" that will be held here from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.

The evening begins with a play in the auditorium of O'Shaughnessy Educational Center on the university's St. Paul campus. The performance, which will include traditional Saudi dance, will explore the experiences of Saudi Arabian students growing up in their homeland, and what it has been like to come to the United States and attend St. Thomas.

Following the play, the program moves next door to the third-floor lounge of Murray-Herrick Campus Center for a buffet featuring Middle Eastern and Saudi foods. That will be followed by a traditional American-style dance with a DJ playing Western and some Saudi music.

The program is sponsored by the St. Thomas Saudi Club and is free if you make reservations and pick up your tickets by Wednesday, Nov. 4. You can make reservations by sending an e-mail to saudiclubust@gmail.com and you can pick up the tickets at the St. Thomas Box Office, located in the lower level of Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

After Nov. 4, the cost of a ticket for the evening is $10.

If you have any questions, send an e-mail to saudiclubust@gmail.com or call (952) 649-0869.
