Please Remember Eric Jaede in Your Prayers

Please remember in your prayers Eric Jaede, who died Sept. 8. He taught in the Quantitative Methods and Computer Science Department (a predecessor of Computer and Information Sciences) for 21 years before retiring in 2000.

He first studied mathematics and physics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received a B.S. in 1961. Originally from New York, Jaede left the East Coast to attend the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Ph.D. in 1966. He worked in private industry for Honeywell, Control Data Corporation and Supervalu before he accepted an assistant professor position at St. Thomas in 1979.
