Dr. Steven Brookfield, School of Education, is the author of a chapter, "Clinical Reasoning and Generic Thinking Skills," in a new book, Clinical Reasoning in the Health Professions, edited by J. Higgs and M. Jones (Oxford: Butterworth/Heinemann, 2000).
Billie Follensbee, Art History, gave a presentation, "Problematizing Gender in Olmec Art and Archeology," at the College Art Association's national conference Feb. 26 in New York City. Follensbee was chosen by the Association for Latin American Art to be one of the three speakers at this session. She also spoke about her research on Olmec ceramic figurines at the national conference of the American Anthropological Association in November 1999.
Dr. Melissa Pederson Mussell, Graduate Department of Professional Psychology, is co-author of an article, "Utilization of Empirically Supported Psychotherapy Treatments for Individuals With Eating Disorders: A Survey of Psychologists," published in the International Journal of Eating Disorders.
Mark Schneider, International Student Services, has been selected by NAFSA: Association of Interantional Education, to participate in its Trainer Corps at its national conference in San Diego. He will learn key principles of adult learning and training techniques used with different styles. As a NAFSA trainer, Schneider will help present one- and two-day workshops for international student advisers on counseling, advising, programming and immigration regulations.
