Dr. Joe Fitzharris, History Department, and his students published two software reviews in the spring issue of History Computer Review (Vol. 16, No. 1). Fitzharris and students Mark Jensen and Daniel Rogaczewski wrote "American Journey: The Great Depression and the New Deal CD-ROM." Fitzharris and students Tressa Branson, Erin Flaherty and Adam Revier wrote "World History CD-ROM (Including World History I, II, III and IV)."
Robert Rehn, Instructional Support Services, has been selected to be a reviewer of proposals to the U.S. Department of Education's "Learning Anytime Anywhere Partnerships" program. This FIPSE grant program funds projects that develop and assess model distance-learning programs or innovative software developed in support of asynchronous instructional activities. Proposals to the program from higher education institutions from throughout the United States will be reviewed this week.
Debra Ricci, Department of Manufacturing Systems and Engineering, successfully defended her disseration, "A Phenomenological Study of the Experience of Learning in Adult Higher Education," at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Continuing Adult and Vocational Education, on Jan. 5. Congratulations, Doc!
Dr. Sarah Stevenson, International Education Center, participated in a panel presentation, "Moving Beyond Study Abroad: Models for International Partnerships in the New Millennium," at the annual conference of the Association of International Education Administrators Feb. 24-27 in Savannah, Ga.
