Dr. Cara Anthony, Theology Department, is the author of an article, "Josiah Royce and Catholic Religious Experience," published in Horizons, the journal of the College Theology Society, Vol. 33, No. 2 (2006).

Dr. Ellen Kennedy, Marketing Department, recently was featured in Edina Magazine and the Edina Sun-Current about her work to raise awareness about the conflict in Darfur, Sudan. Kennedy founded chapters of the Genocide Intervention Network, a Washington-based nongovernmental organization working to prevent or stop genocide, at the University of St. Thomas and at Congregation Shir Tikvah in Minneapolis and now is coordinator for GI-Net's Minnesota operations. She has spoken about the Darfur genocide at Minnesota colleges and universities, Rotary clubs, religious organizations, high schools, the League of Women Voters, and at several academic conferences, including "Innovations in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning at the Liberal Arts Colleges" Feb. 16-18 at Carleton College. An immigration sociologist, she also spoke at Carleton's program, "Immigration in a Local Context," Feb. 8 with Ray Cox, former member of the House of Representatives; Jesus Torres, Centro Campesino; and Mai Ka Moua, president of Hmong College Students of Minnesota. Kennedy currently is a visiting professor of sociology at Carleton.

Dr. John Wendt, Opus College of Business, was selected by the coaches of the Big Ten Conference to serve as the announcer for the 2007 Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 8-10 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
