The Rev. Peter Feldmeier, St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity, is the author of "A Contemplative Dialogue: East and West," in the journal Studio Mystica, Vol. 21, pages 177-208.
Dr. Don LaMagdeleine, School of Education, is the co-author of an article, "Dominance Theater, Slam-a-thon, and Cargo Cults: Three Illustrations of How Using Conceptual Metaphors in Qualitative Research Works," to be published this summer in Qualitative Inquiry, one of the premier journals in qualitative research. The article discusses how three recent UST dissertations he chaired relied on a central metaphor or evocative phrase to guide the research and analysis. Co-author Sara Dexter wrote one of the dissertations described. She currently works as a research associate for the University of Minnesota Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement.
Sister Katarina Schuth, O.S.F., St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity, received the 2000 Catholic Press Association Award for her book, Seminaries, Theologates, and the Future of Church Ministry.
Dr. Mark Willhardt, a former member of the St. Thomas English Department who now is assistant professor of English at Monmouth College, Illinois, is co-editor with Alan Michael Parker of a newly published book, Who's Who in Twentieth-Century World Poetry. The Routledge publication serves as a definitive biographical guide to contemporary poets, with more than 900 entries from contributors throughout the world. Among Willhardt's former students and faculty and staff colleagues who contributed to the volume are: Barbara Becker, Bethany Brown, Brian Brown, Heid Erdrich, Johann Leida, Eric Matas, Matthew Otremba, Mathew Piasecki, Jennifer Solberg, Sarah Spencer and Terri Topness.
