The first Garibaldi Three-On-Three Tourney was held in April 2004, almost a year after Chris Garibaldi, 35, died from cancer. It was started by St. Thomas freshman Dan Morin and other friends of the Garibaldi family. The fourth annual tournament will honor Garibaldi’s memory and raise awareness and money to help those touched by cancer. In the past three years the tournament has raised more than $45,000 to help fight cancer. Proceeds from this years’ tournament will benefit the Hematology and Oncology Department at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics.
