Online Registration Opens Today to Volunteer at the UST's State Fair Booth

Do you enjoy the Minnesota State Fair? Would you like to speak with potential students, parents and alumni, and general fair-goers? Now is your chance to share your knowledge of and pride in St. Thomas as a volunteer.

Register online to work at the St. Thomas State Fair booth and you’ll meet other members of the St. Thomas community and receive a free admission ticket. Labor Day weekend volunteers receive two extra admission tickets.

This year, the fair runs Thursday, Aug. 26, through Monday, Sept. 6. Shifts at the booth are three hours and begin at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.  Five people will be assigned to each shift, and faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to volunteer. Register early to select the date and time that works best for you. The most popular time slots fill up quickly!

Employees who wish to volunteer at the booth during their regular work hours must obtain supervisor approval prior to signing up for a shift. Hourly employees may sign up for one three-hour shift during their regular work hours and will be paid the three hours at the booth plus one additional hour to compensate for travel.

For the sixth consecutive year, volunteers will give away the popular purple UST tote bags. This year they'll also offer a choice: a purple UST bandana.

Register here – the shifts will fill fast!
