Please Remember Dale Kramm '56 in Your Prayers

Please remember in your prayers Dale Kramm, who died April 1.

Kramm graduated from St. Thomas in 1956 with a degree in German. He joined the foreign languages department as a faculty member in 1960 and taught Greek and Latin until he retired in 1990.

According to his former colleague Mary Lou Wolsey, Kramm was an innovator with computerized language curriculum. "He worked long hours, creating texts for his students on the Macintosh computer in the languages work room," she said.

When Kramm retired he set up a fund for the benefit of faculty in the Modern and Classical Languages Department.  The fund allowed faculty members to travel to abroad for research and other opportunities with language. According to current department chair Derrin Pinto, the fund still exists today and allows an average of three faculty members to travel each year.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Avenue NW, New Brighton. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
