Please remember in your prayers James Gooley, 86, of Minneapolis. Gooley, a WW II veteran and former director of the Minneapolis Welfare Department, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 29, due to complications from a recent stroke.

He was the father of Donald Gooley ’85 and staff member James ("Jim") Gooley ’07 M.B.A., executive development officer in the Development Office; and the grandfather of Andrew Gooley ’14 and Alec Gooley ’16.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at noon Friday, April 4, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of St. Mary, Hennepin Avenue and 17th Street, Minneapolis.
