Rev. Thomas Francis Showalter
Please remember in your prayers the Rev. Thomas Francis Showalter, SOLT, who died peacefully Saturday, July 13. He was the brother of Ann Marie Serdar, Department of Catholic Studies, and uncle to Rachelle (Lamers) Wind ’10, and Renee (Lamers) Amundson and Elliot Amundson ’11.
Ordained into the priesthood in June 1997, he was pastor at St. John Nepomucene Parish in Robstown, Texas, in the Diocese of Corpus Christi, Texas. Previously he faithfully served in Belcourt, N.D., and in Irkutsk, Russia.
Funeral services were held July 16 and 17 in Texas. An obituary can be viewed on the South Texas Catholic website.
