Sister Marie Herbert Seiter
The Center for Senior Citizens’ Education and the Academic Affairs Office will host a farewell retirement reception for Sister Marie Herbert Seiter on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The reception will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center (Room 260).
A prayer and blessing by Father Jan Michael Joncas will be given at 4 p.m.
Seiter, director of the Center for Senior Citizens’ Education, began working at St. Thomas in 1978 as coordinator for the Archdiocesan Economic Education project, and also worked in the Center for Economic Education.
The university community is invited to stop by the reception to say good-bye and to wish her well in retirement.
