Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarship Day Brings Prospective Students, Families to Campus Saturday

The Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarship Committee will host the Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarship Day for prospective students and their families from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21.

Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarship Day, an annual scholarship competition, gives prospective students and their families a chance to learn more about St. Thomas. Scholarship candidates will take three examinations, participate in an open house with current students, faculty and staff in the Frey Science and Engineering Center, and tour the campus. More than 450 people will visit UST for this event.

Scores from the exams will be evaluated, and finalists will be invited back to campus for personal interviews on Saturday, Feb. 18. Two full-tuition and two four-year $8,000 scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshmen.

Guests will be parking in surface lots M, N and O on the south campus and will be attending sessions in the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium and the Frey Science and Engineering Center.
