St. Thomas’ search for a new vice president of information resources and technology and chief information officer is set to begin.
Opus College of Business Dean Stefanie Lenway will chair a 13-member search committee, which is scheduled to hold its first meeting this week. The committee aims to announce the appointment in the spring.
"In a world in which the digital economy is growing at an exponential rate and our dependence on technology for teaching, research and administration at the university is only increasing, this is an extremely important hire for the university," Lenway said. "It is imperative that we identify the best available candidates to consider for this position."
The committee was appointed by St. Thomas Provost Richard Plumb in consultation with the Committee on Faculty Nominations and Elections. The following 13 individuals will serve on the search committee:

Faculty: William Barnes, art history; Bradley Rubin, software engineering; Eric Fort, biochemistry; Debasish Mallick, operations/supply chain management
Staff: Mark Vangsguard, vice president business affairs; Dan Meyer, vice president enrollment services; Patrick Sanchez, development systems; Dan Gjelten, director, university libraries; Jenn Haas, IRT
Students: Katzie Truso, Undergraduate Student Government; Sabeena Mathayas, Educational Leadership doctoral program
