The UST Allies is encouraging students to be silent until 5 p.m. today, Monday, April 18.
“The silence is commemorating the silence imposed on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people and their allies because of persecution, harassment, prejudice, discrimination, and hate,” remarked John Schuweiler, an officer of Allies. “UST Allies would like to remind people that this event is not an excuse to not participate in class. Students should choose where and when to be silent.”
