'Speaking of Faith: Why Religion Matters and How to Talk About It'
What does it mean to be human? Why does religion matter so much in the 21st century? How can we begin to talk about it?

Krista Tippett, host of American Public Media’s “Speaking of Faith” and the author of a book by the same title just out in paperback from Penguin, will address these and other topics in a talk at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb.17, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis. The talk is sponsored by WomenSpirit, an ecumenical collaboration of women’s groups in the Twin Cities, and co-sponsored by the university's Luann Dummer Center for Women.

"Speaking of Faith: Why Religion Matters and How to Talk About It" is part spiritual memoir, theological tract and manifesto. The book presents a new way of speaking about religion that hopes to avoid common minefields. It also reveals the path that led to creation of her radio show.
