New for fall 2016, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of Study Abroad announce St. Thomas in Rome: The CORE Semester. This inaugural program is open to students of any major, and provides an opportunity to complete four core requirements while living on the St. Thomas Rome campus.

A St. Thomas faculty member will teach one course, live in residence, and facilitate site visits and excursions throughout Italy.

The program is ideal for current first-year students. Interested students should let their advisers know if they are interested in studying on St. Thomas’ Rome campus in fall 2016, and work with their academic advisers during November registration to plan a spring schedule that will allow them to take maximum advantage of the core courses being offered in Rome.

To learn more and gain access to the application, students should attend an information session at noon on Thursday, Nov. 19, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, Room 205, or visit the Office of Study Abroad’s website. The priority deadline is Jan. 15, 2016. Following that, applications will be accepted on a space-available basis until March 15, 2016.

Rome: The CORE Semester joins the Catholic Studies in Rome program and the London Business Semester as St. Thomas-sponsored semester-long programs.
