St. Thomas participates in Arrowhead Model United Nations Conference

The Model United Nations group of the Foreign Affairs Club participated in the Arrowhead Model United Nations held on April 20-23 in Brookings, S.D. Students represented the delegations from France and Iran.

Congratulations to Mai Abou Samra, who won the Best Delegate Award for Opening Speech, and Alex Miamen, who won Best Delegate From the Security Council. Congratulations also to the participants: Sheila Archambault, Margaret Henehan, Jose Hernandez, Anna Hogan, Emmy Josefson, Kiersten Norby, Dolkar Tenzin and Chase Toft.

The keynote speaker at this year’s conference was George McGovern, who served the United Nations as U.S. Director of the U.N. Agencies on Food and Agriculture and U.N. Special Ambassador on Hunger.
