STAR is offering salsa lessons and Camping in the Quad

STAR (St. Thomas Activities and Recreation) announces two activities for students:

• Monday Moves salsa lessons will be given every Monday night, beginning Sept. 18 and lasting for 12 weeks through Dec. 4. Classes for beginners will be held from 8 to 9 p.m. and intermediate classes (for students who have taken at least eight lessons) will be held from 9 to 10 p.m.

  Lessons will be taught by instructors from the Dancer’s Studio. The cost is $10. Sign up in the Box Office, lower level, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

• Camping in the Quad will be held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. this Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 16-17. Highlights will include: bonfires with s’mores and hot dogs; lots of free food; tents; the outdoor movie “Click,” starring Adam Sandler; and bocce ball, badminton and croquet.
