Student Advisory Group Forming for Help With Strategic Planning

The Strategic Planning Oversight Committee is seeking motivated and engaged students to help shape the future of the University of St. Thomas by serving on an advisory group for our committee. This group will consist of 12 students representing various demographics of our undergraduate population.

The group will meet six times in the spring semester from 5-7 p.m. on Mondays Feb. 8, Feb. 22, March 7, April 4, April 18 and May 2. A casual dinner will be served at each of the meetings. Various task groups will meet with the students to get input on the strategic initiatives that will most impact the undergraduate experience.

Students in this group are expected to communicate with their fellow students about various ideas, and bring forth suggestions and critiques that they have heard. This group might also help host some open forums for students to provide input. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in large group decision-making, organizational change, grass roots activism and developing leadership skills.

If you are a student interested in nominating yourself, please go to this link. You will be asked to provide a brief statement about why you would like to do this work. If you are faculty or staff who knows of a student who would be good for this work, please forward them this information.
