Students will have a chance to study geological and environmental science field methods and look at sustainable energy on a geological hot spot during a three-week course in Iceland during summer 2015.
An information session for those interested will take place from noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Anderson Student Center, Room 340, the Hearth Room.
Instructors are Dr. Kevin Theissen and Dr. Thomas Hickson, faculty members in geology and environmental science.
This course fulfills a second lab science requirement in the UST core curriculum, as well as major requirements in geology and environmental science (geoscience concentration). It also can fulfill an elective requirement in environmental science bioscience and chemistry concentrations, and in environmental studies.
More information about the program is available from the Study Abroad Office in the International Education Center.
