Study abroad: Glasgow, Ghosts, Monsters and the International Fair

International Education reminds students of the Glasgow deadline extension, a J-Term program and the International Fair detailed below:

  1. Glasgow English Semester deadline

The Glasgow English Semester application deadline has been extended to Monday, Oct. 16.

  2. UMAIE: Ghosts and Monsters January Term program has more openings

The UMAIE January Term program, Ghosts and Monsters in 19th Century British Literature, has added an assistant director for the program, allowing new open spots. Check the Study Abroad Web site for more information on how to apply for this and other program options.

This program counts toward a 300-level major/minor in English and fulfills the second-level core requirement for language and literature.

In this course, students' class readings and discussion will be supplemented by evening visits to the haunted neighborhoods of London. They also will take overnight excursions to Yorkshire and Edinburgh.

  3. Reminder: International Fair is today, Thursday, Oct. 5

The International Fair will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today in the Coughlan Field House. The café line will be moved to the field house where an international meal will be served. Tour a 17-foot Earth balloon, and visit the continent tables.
