Summer math camp offered here for high school girls
The fifth annual GEMS (Girls Experiencing Mathematics in the Summer) camp for high school girls will be held June 25-30 on the St. Thomas campus in St. Paul.
GEMS camp is an opportunity for high school girls to explore math topics not typically covered in high school math courses. St. Thomas math professors teach the girls and undergraduate math majors serve as counselors at the camp.
The cost is $350, which includes staying overnight in a residence hall and all meals. Financial assistance will be available for those who need it.
Applications are available online. For early admission, submit applications by May 20.
